Kraliçe takımyıldızındaki bu bulutsu, kenarlarını ısıtan devasa, kısa ömürlü yıldızların rüzgârıyla kıskaç biçimini almıştır. Altın rengi kükürt, mavi ise oksijen ışımasıdır; ortadaki mavi kabarcık, bir Wolf-Rayet yıldızının rüzgârıyla şişirilmiş bir baloncuktur.

Dar bant filtrelerle çekilen bu tür görüntüler şehir ışıklarına rağmen mümkündür; her filtre yalnızca tek bir elementin ışığını geçirir. Toplamda saatler süren pozlama tek bir kareye sığdırılmıştır.

This nebula in Cassiopeia has been carved into the shape of a claw by the winds of the massive, short-lived stars that heat its edges. Gold marks sulphur, blue marks oxygen; the blue bubble at the centre is inflated by the wind of a Wolf-Rayet star.

Narrowband images like this are possible even under city lights, because each filter passes the light of a single element only. Hours of exposure are combined into one frame.
