Yay'da Renkli Bulutlar (SHO)Coloured Clouds in Sagittarius (SHO)

Lagün Bulutsusu'nun hemen doğusundaki bu bölge, gazın ve tozun her türünü tek karede barındırır: Sıcak yıldızların ısıttığı parlayan hidrojen, mavi yansıma bulutları ve her şeyin önünden geçen koyu toz şeritleri.

Görüntü "SHO" (Hubble paleti) tekniğiyle işlendi: Kükürt, hidrojen ve oksijen dar bant filtreleriyle ayrı ayrı çekilip kırmızı, yeşil ve maviye atandı. Renkler gerçek değil, ama her renk gerçek bir elementin haritasıdır.

Just east of the Lagoon Nebula, this region holds every kind of gas and dust in a single frame: glowing hydrogen heated by hot stars, blue reflection clouds, and dark lanes of dust drifting in front of everything.

The image was processed in the "SHO" (Hubble palette) technique: sulphur, hydrogen and oxygen were captured separately through narrowband filters and mapped to red, green and blue. The colours are not literal, but each one is a map of a real element.
